A woman who describes herself as a professional ‘stay-at-home daughter ‘ says spending her parents’ money is like a full-time job.
TikTok star Roma Abdesselam sent her fans into meltdown when she shared a recent clip that documented how much she spends.
She often shares clips of her extravagant life with her followers on social media, showing off expensive jewellery and designer clothes.
She recently said that she’d spent over £41,000 ($50,000) in a single day, as she picked up goods by Gucci, Dior, Chanel and Prada.
Roma, from New York, said that she’s turned spending her parent’s money “into a job, and that’s been very, very fun for me”.
“Every day I wake up in the morning, have breakfast, go to a workout class and go shopping with my girlfriends at Bergdorf’s – and that’s my life being unemployed,” she said to the New York Post.
“Some days I spend £41,000 ($50,000) – I often get tricked by sales associates who’ll say something like, ‘Oh, this is the last Chanel exotic.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I have to all these exotics. I need them.”
Roma refused to explain to the Post what her parents do for a living, but said that they have cut her off for lavish overspending before – but that the punishment never lasts for long.
She regularly shares TikTok videos that show her spending huge amounts of cash as she lives a very flamboyant lifestyle.
In one tongue-in-cheek clip she shared an insight into her day-to-day life and joked about getting some cosmetic work done.
She said: “I had to spend $600 on new eyebrows – after getting my eyebrows done I went to a bar to get drunk before I went shopping.”
Before the pandemic, Roma said that she planned to launch a beauty business but for the past two years she’s been completely unemployed.
In another video, she showed off a series of receipts, which include £1,838 ($2,221) for clothes, £2,295 ($2,774.28) for lingerie, and £1,873 ($2,264.81) for more designer gear.
Roma has shared many videos that have gone viral and she is often inundated with comments from fans.
One wrote: “Are your parents looking to adopt another daughter?”
And Roma replied: “They can’t afford the current one I think.”
